Prayer Room
Encounters has now become a dedicated prayer room. The button below allows the booking of the room for a time of prayer. It is bookable Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 09:00 - 17:00. Tuesday and Friday between 09:00 - 21:00. Please use the Holmes Street entrance. The Prayer Room is an opportunity to draw aside, take time out and meet with God. It is a dedicated space where people can go to pray and seek God, to intercede and petition. Jesus withdrew to pray (Mt 14:13; Lk 5:12-16; Jn 6:14-16), not at the expense of serving the Father but in order to be more effective in that.
The key is not about the physical space but about making space for relationship with God who from the beginning of time longs to be with His people and connect with them. We know that God is everywhere and we can meet with God anywhere and everywhere, but a Prayer Room with time and place set aside can be an important part of growing in relationship with God. It’s a great addition to be part of continual prayer in local church life and helpful being in a place with no distractions with focuses for prayer.

6am & 9pm Prayers -
We are desperate for the Lord to move on the earth again as he has done in time past. We are praying for a revival in our Lives, our Homes, our neighbourhoods, our City, our Nation, in the World. God has called us to be an end-time army who are ready for His revival, and we want to be found on our knees praying and ushering in the revival He brings upon the earth.

7am – 8.30 am every Tuesday morning – now in the New Life Church Prayer Room. If you can’t make it in person, you can now join us on Zoom We use of Scriptures and proclamations as a basis to pray for: - National issues highlighted by the Christian Institute - Parliament - the Body of Christ – Citywide and Nationwide.
20-20 Prayers -
As we say yes to the invitation of the Lord to be a people who pray and fast, we look forward to all the Lord is going to do in and through us. We invite you to sign up to a prayer slot to pray and fast every Wednesday from 8pm (20:00) until Thursday 8pm (20:00). We are praying for a revival in our city Derby, in our community, on our streets and work places, in our homes and in our families.
Monthly
Ignite Prayers -
Every last Friday of the month we meet to pray as a church family from 7pm-9pm at New Life Church, Normanton Road. Our heart is to see God’s kingdom come here on earth as it is in heaven. It is an opportunity to fuel our passion for God. Our Ignite prayers are open to the whole family and we have children and youth ministry available. You are welcome to join us in prayer.
