The vision of Kingdom Kids is for children to come to know Jesus through personal encounter and relationship. We desire for them to discover, nurture, and grow in their giftings, fostering identity formation, and bringing a sense of purpose and blessing to God’s perfect and pleasing will.
We meet collectively every 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at New Life Church on Normanton Road, in Derby. Sessions for Kingdom Kids (reception- year 6) and Kingdom Kids Minis (pre-primary age of 2-4 years) are offered at both 930am and 1145am services. There is currently an additional creche ‘relief’ room upstairs with a fully equipped play area and the service live streamed on a tv. This relief room is perfect for parents of children under age 2, or for parents who have a child who is not yet comfortable attending children’s ministry parent-free. Please be mindful and courteous of Kingdom Kids sessions happening in adjoining rooms.
On the day’ registration for all ministry sessions is mandatory to comply with safeguarding and to optimise the service and safety offered to the children. Registration is open from 9:15-9:45am for the 9:30am service and 11:30-12pm for the 11:45am service. We close promptly to get the team ready to receive the children so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Home churches are a great way to facilitate intergenerational discipleship. Children can be involved in all aspects of home churches including worship, prayer, memorising scripture, testimonies, reading the bible, and discussing what it means for the week ahead. For those children that are not reading yet, they can work on the memory verse colouring sheet (a follow on from the previous large gathering Sunday) or engage in play and building relationships with each other during the time of reading and discussion. Remember that even if they are not reading, they are still hearing us, and are witness to our role modelling and discipleship. We desire to get them as collectively involved as possible, pulling on strengths and giftings of all generations within the home church. Children can also get involved in home church missional work in the local community, bringing their natural joy and enthusiasm into activities and outreach.

Come along as a family on the last Friday of every month from 7-9pm. There will be an intergenerational time of prayer and worship from 7-8pm followed by separate age-related programmes (primary school age children, youth, and adults) from 8-9pm. Primary school age children will be excused in this time to join KIDZONE with different activities to enjoy and a time to build friendships. No Need to prebook.
Mandatory electronic registration for 2nd and 4th Sunday Kingdom Kids ministries opens in the front lobby 15 minutes before each service and closes 15 minutes into each service. Please arrive on time to avoid disappointment.

Little Fishes
Little Fishes toddler group is back again! We meet on Wednesday mornings at 10:00am until 11:30am during term time. This group is tailored for parents with children as young as babies up to pre-school age. Our Living Room at New Life Derby will be fully stocked with toys and games, and we'll enjoy songs, stories, and snacks while parents savor a cup of tea, coffee, and delicious cakes
