is called Jakes
and has been
making an impact
since 1996
MEETING THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY
Jakes is once a week and is aimed at those without a home or even without a roof! Food, friends, a warm and fun place to be and opportunities to develop are all part of a typical Jakes evening. The volunteer team also ‘signpost’ to other helping agencies and organisations which helps people find their way to somewhere safe every day of the week. Jake’s operates throughout the year and does not close for school holidays/Easter etc. Our team of volunteers have served together faithfully, some of us have served for 20 years plus.
Important: Arrive before 6.30pm for food. We currently offer hot/cold drinks, biscuits and cake. There is no charge for this!
