We have re-opened as a church and are having ‘In person’ services on Sunday’s again. There is nothing like worshiping together and Praising the Lord together in the same room.
As a church the Lord is calling us to Home Churches across the city, nation and the world and we are taking steps to doing that by meeting on alternate weeks as a large group.
We meet in the 1st and 3rd weeks in Home Church across the city. You can join one on those weeks by Clicking Here. On the 2nd, 4th and 5th weeks of the month we meet together as a large gathering on Normanton Road venue. Click Here to get directions.
New Life’s top priority is the safety of our congregation, visitors, staff and volunteer team and we are looking to keep everyone as safe as possible.
If you are feeling unwell please do not attend the meeting as this will put others at risk, but if you are feeling well we can’t wait to see you as we gather.

Why do I need to book a ticket?
Due to social distancing, we will have limited capacity so every person attending will need to book a ticket. Tickets are available on a first come first served basis. We ask you only book tickets you will use. If you have not booked a ticket in advance, you may not be allowed entry.
How do I cancel a booking?
If you have booked a ticket, but are not able to attend for any reason, we would love to make your ticket available to someone else. Please use the CANCEL link at the bottom of your confirmation email you received after booking.
Does every member of my household or support bubble need a ticket?
Yes. Every member of your household or support bubble (including children) will need a ticket. You can book tickets together as you go through the booking process by ‘adding additional ticket’. You will be invited to sit with members of your household or support bubble as per your booking. Please endeavour to arrive altogether. It may take a little while to get everyone in safely, so thank you in advance for your patience.
What about track and trace?
When booking, we also collect your data for the NHS Test and Trace scheme as requested by the government. We’ve made the decision to share this information with the NHS if requested.
Our team will be on-site to direct you toward the queuing system in place upon arrival; these systems will be an essential part of staying COVID safe, and so please ensure you remain 2 meters away from others.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive about 20-30 minutes before the service starts.
How will we socially distance?
The host team will guide you to sit 2 metres away from other individuals or households. There will be signage to remind everyone to keep 2 metres distance as they move around the New Life Venue.
Do I need to wear a face covering?
We ask that you enter the venue wearing a face covering and continue to wear it for the duration of your time in New Life (unless you are medically exempt, in which case we will ask that you wear your official ‘Exempt Lanyard’ at all times as proof of your exemption). Children under the age of 12 are not required to wear masks.
Will I be able to choose where I sit?
Unfortunately, no. We are working hard to ensure that our services are conducive to social distancing, but we really need your help with this. You will be taken to a seat when you arrive at New Life. Please be considerate and help the stewards with this.
Will there be a children's programme?
Sadly, no. We will not be offering a children’s programme at the moment. There will be provisions for your child to enjoy whilst the service runs. You can collect these as you enter the building.
Will toilets be open?
Toilets will be open, but will be operating with a limited capacity.
What about hygiene?
There will be hand sanitiser stations available for you to use at the venue, please use these as you enter and leave the building. The New Life Team will clean the building between bookings also.
Will there be a refreshments afterwards?
Due to COVID-19 guidelines, we will not currently be serving refreshments at the end of the service. We recommend you bring your own drink or hot flask if you’d like to.
Will there be worship and can I sing?
Yes, there will be a time of worship but singing together isn’t currently permitted under the latest government guidance (but that doesn’t mean you can’t worship!) Instead, you’ll be able to engage in worship through other ways (i.e: standing, kneeling, lifting hands, clapping, etc.) but you’ll need to stay at your seat and not move around.
How long will the service last?
We will be keeping the length of the service to 1.30 hours.
Generosity is an integral part of our culture at New Life so we want to continue to facilitate your ability to financially contribute to church. All giving is currently done online or via ChurchSuite. There will be no physical collections during the service.
Will water be available?
Unfortunately due to COVID 19 guidelines the water fountain that is usually located at the back of the room will be out of use. So we would recommend for you to come prepared with water from home.
We currently do not have a car park, but off street parking is available around the church building. There is also a pay and display carpark at the top of Normanton Road ‘Grove Street Carpark’ that can be used.
Will there be time to socialise?
You won’t be able to socialise in the main auditorium and we ask that you leave promptly after the service and ministry time has ended.
Should I attend if I feel unwell or have COVID-19?
We would kindly ask you to please stay at home and join us via church online instead if you –
- Feel unwell
- Show or have shown any symptoms of COVID-19 (or have been in close contact with someone who has) within the last 14 days
- Have been diagnosed with COVID-19 (or been in close contact with someone who has) within the last 14 days
- Have been asked to self-isolate under the NHS Test and Trace scheme or have returned from a country outside of the UK government exemption list in the last 14 days
